Practice (CoP)

DESCRIPTION
The Event Processing Community of Practice is an
advocacy group comprised of end-users, service
providers,
and technology vendors, dedicated to promoting the
business value, and enabling the successful adoption, of
event processing by the Global 1000, major government
agencies, and mid-market businesses.
AIMS

Raise the profile of event
processing, from its current niche status, to a
well-recognized and adopted business technique
for adding real-time visibility and
responsiveness to increase business agility,
innovation and profitability |

Shift conversation from underlying
technology (event processing) to business value
(continuous analytics and intelligence) |

Provide education on business
design, information analysis and management
techniques to harness the power of event

Create a vibrant practitioner
community for the exchange of insights on use
cases, challenges and techniques, which will
assist in value attainment, and spur broader,
industry wide event processing adoption. |

COMMUNITY AND WORKING GROUPS
Event Processing Community of Practice members have
the opportunity to interact with like-minded, and
tasked,
individuals on the opportunities, challenges, and paths
to Event Processing success. The working groups are
member defined, chartered and managed.
EVENT PROCESSING CASE STUDY COLLECTION AND AWARDS
PROGRAM
An online case study collection and annual case study
awards program to highlight business success stories
and lessons learned to provide proof points and insights
for other organizations considering or pursuing Event
Processing.
EVENT PROCESSING CoP
PARTICIPATION IN INDUSTRY CONFERENCES
Event Processing Community of Practice members,
principals, and supporters will participate in industry
events
to spread the message of the Event Processing Community
of Practice, successful Event Processing adoption,
and the importance of related techniques and
technologies. Conference participation includes keynote
speakers, session speakers, panel moderation, panelists,
pre-conference facilitation and contribution.
